ROSEVILLE GLOWS! DURING HOLIDAY LIGHTS PROMOTION
(Roseville, MN) — November 13, 2006The city of Roseville will shine brightly for visitors this holiday season during Roseville Glows! The annual promotion, sponsored by the Roseville Visitors Association (RVA), will feature more than 115,000 white twinkle lights which will decorate the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL and the Roseville City Hall Campus on Civic Centre Drive from November 13, 2006 thru February 4, 2007. Roseville hotels will also be illuminated for this festive event. This year, the RVA will also team up with Second Harvest to hold a food drive from December 1 - 15 at three Roseville locations; the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL, Roseville City Hall and the RVA offices located within HarMar Mall. From December 11 - 15, drive-up donations will be accepted at the OVAL, as volunteers will be collecting donations directly from passengers in their cars from 7 - 8:30 pm. Visitors donating goods will receive free candy canes and can obtain a complimentary coupon book filled with valuable offers from more than 30 participating Roseville merchants. Coupon books will also be available to guests staying at any of Roseville's nine properties. The coupon book offers, which include discounts on public skating at the Roseville Skating Center or special offers at area restaurants and shops, are valid through December 30, 2007. "This is a terrific opportunity for people to contribute to a worthy cause while enjoying the beauty of Roseville during the holiday season," said RVA Executive Director Julie Larson. "We welcome visitors to sample everything Roseville has to offer, whether they enjoy skating at the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL, shopping at Rosedale Center or just visiting with friends and relatives."
